Maya and Sem are seventeen. On a crisp summer evening they lie watching the stars, Sem with her ball, Maya with her joint.

Close-up of a girl with curls and lilac eyeshadow looking up, in a pink jumper, lying on a colourful blanket.
A girl in a blue jacket smiles down at another girl lying on the ground, under a lilac sky.

Sem lives for later. Maya lives for now.

A girl sits on the edge of a graffitied skate bowl in front of a row of brick houses.
Poster: two girls lie with their eyes closed on the blue tarmac of a sports field.

Everything feels right, until the beat drops.

A girl cries with her hands in her hair, at night, in front of a glittering curtain.
